We love this version of Lotus’s pop-eyed sportster.
Introduced at the end of the sixties – it typified the little English sports car of the time – though those popups were sneered at by the flat cappers in their MGs. But these little cars’ straight four, with a relatively hi-revving double overhead camshaft and 115 horsepower – were a ton of fun to drive.
Colin Chapman’s lightweight ethos paid off in spades in this little roadster – and now a good one will cost you over £20K
It’s Thursday – We’re in love!
